KAO PASS

The Kao (pronounced “cow”) Pass is your online identity and your passport into the Gachi universe. With a Kao Pass card, your Gachi can ride the trains, drive a car, and get into events in the Gachi Universe.

Every Gachi has their own Kao Pass page which you can sign in with your Metamask in order to update your bio, etc. We are giving you the tools to create a brand around and monetize your Gachi based around this identity.

OG version

Must mint a TDGN

If you are lucky enough to mint a Gachi you will be awarded an ultra rare mint colored Kao Pass card. (Your NFT must be in the same wallet that you minted it with in order to claim a limited mint Kao Pass card) You will reach legendary status and can claim the legendary Kao Pass if you hold your Gachi NFT for 6 months (5 months for the OG Kao Pass card).

TDGN NFT held in the same wallet for 6 months (5 months for OGs)

You will reach legendary status and can claim the legendary Kao Pass if you hold your Tokyo Degenerate NFT for 6 months (5 months for the OG Kao Pass card).

PARK. DON’T STAKE

Gachis have a unique feature. If you park them in your wallet, they will level up over time. There is a day counter and level meter on your Kao Pass card. Your rewards, benefits, and drops will increase with your level. (OG Kao Pass cards will level up faster than the Regular version.) In other words, the longer someone holds their Gachi NFT, the more they will benefit.

We prefer parking over staking since a staked NFT can still be listed for sale. However attempting to purchase a staked NFT results in an error. Many people are taking advantage of this quirk as a way to drive down the price of an NFT collection on the secondary market by listing it well below the floor price, then purchasing more when the price decreases. This creates a broken and unfair market for NFT holders.
